Cataract Testimonials

Dr. Adelson removed a very dense cataract yesterday morning, and implanted a lens. The surgery went flawlessly and quickly. I experienced absolutely no pain afterwards. Upon a post-op exam this morning, with the eyes still dilated, it was determined that the vision win the eye is almost 20/20. it's quite remarkable and more than I expected.

My sincere thanks to Dr. Adelson, his staff and to the good Lord for guiding his mind and hands.

Dr. Adelson is a wonderful doctor and did an excellent job on my eyes. I can see clearer now and the colors in church were so bright.  This morning, the day after surgery, the clothes on the people and the priests garments were so clear and bright. I could not get over it. The statues features were so much more clear. I have never seen everything so bright.

At the start of October 2009 I was having rather severe problems with my vision. an examination at the Adelson Eye & Laser Center determined that I was in need of cataract surgery. The surgery was carefully explained to me and a date was setup for the end of the month. The surgery was performed by Dr.. Howard Adelson on the morning of October 29th and I was in and out of the hospital in about three total hours. I would also like to add that the hospital staff was very polite, kind and did an excellent and professional job preparing me for the operation. The day after the operation I was examined by Dr. Howard Adelson and my vision was determined to be 20/20. For the first time in my life I am able to drive a car without gasses. In conclusion would like to say that I couldn't be more pleased with the results and the professional treatment I received at the Adelson Eye and Laser Center.

Procedure was performed painlessly and quickly. the second day I went to the office to have the eye patch removed - still no pain, but amazement how much better I could see!

The hardest part of the whole process was keeping the proper drops going in the proper eye! And that was really a piece of cake.

I'm about 75 yrs old and the cataracts on my eyes were getting worse. I have had glasses since I was about 6 or 7. I've had tri-focals for quite awhile. I was a little hesitant about having this implant procedure at first, but I knew that my eyes would just get worse. But from day one since the implant procedure - it was like a new world lit up for me. Everything was brighter and clearer and the best thing of all  NO GLASSES. I'll probably have to have glasses for everyday reading  - but for every other activity and driving - NO GLASSES.

After Dr. Howard Adelson examined my eyes he informed me that not only did I have a cataract in my left eye, I had one in my right eye as well.  That was a surprise – as was his opinion that it was timely to remove both of them.

I was apprehensive about having anything done to my eyes, but Dr. Adelson carefully and clearly explained the whole procedure for cataract removal and lens implant.

It is a state of the art procedure – no “shots” in the eye – no stitches – no pain.  The whole time spent in the operating room was less then 20 minutes and after a short time in recovery I was driven home by my wife.  Three weeks later he did the second eye.

There is no need to fear the operation, it goes more smoothly then some visits to the dentist.

Dr. Adelson has a great caring attitude, he exudes confidence, and does a superb job of explaining the entire process and answering any questions.  If you think you have cataracts, Adelson Eye And Laser Center is the place to visit first.  My whole experience from first visit – through surgery – to follow up visits was a very pleasant experience.
