Adelson Eye and Laser Center understands that your vision is important to you.  Dr. Todd Adelson will work closely to educate and assist you with your vision correction options.  Along with Dr. Adelson's refractive team and our advanced technology, we are able to offer an extensive and complete vision correction experience.  Dr. Adelson's unique fellowship training in cataract and refractive surgery is something that very few surgeons possess.

Dr. Adelson's training includes extensive exposure to some of the most advanced vision correction technology available today, including the now popular Custom LASIK.  This technology utilizes the Wavescan Wavefront System and the VISX STAR S4 Laser.  This technique allows for “high-definition” type visual results.  In fact, the vast majority of Dr. Adelson's patients are able to pass a driver's test without the use of corrective lenses following their procedure.  Dr. Adelson has performed numerous lectures for medical students and residents at Michigan State University and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  In addition, he has participated in medical case studies.  He continues to teach medical students and residents in both formal educational and clinical settings.

The metro Detroit native earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, where he graduated with the distinction of high honors.  He went on to graduate from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine-Midwestern University.  He completed his internship training at Botsford Hospital-Michigan State University and his ophthalmology residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he worked alongside world-renowned ophthalmologists throughout his residency training.  Dr. Adelson then went on to complete a prestigious cataract and refractive surgery fellowship in affiliation with Michigan State University where he was exposed to an extensive volume of refractive surgery including LASIK.

Dr. Adelson is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology and American Osteopathic Association.
He is currently on staff at Providence Hospital, Providence Park Hospital, St. John Macomb/Oakland Hospitals and Botsford Hospital.
