EYELID SURGERY

Complete eye health includes having healthy eyes and healthy eyelids.  Common eyelid problems include excess eyelid skin, droopy eyelids or eyelids that turn inward or outward.  These problems can cause eye discomfort, limit vision, and affect appearance.  Fortunately, they can be corrected with medicine or surgery.

Ptosis (pronounced “toe-sis”) can develop with age ( involutional).  It may worsen after other types of surgery or eyelid swelling.  Ptosis may limit your side or your central vision.

Over time some people develop excess eyelid skin.  In the upper eyelid,  the same problem causes “bags” under your lower eyelids.

Blepharoplasty surgery can improve your vision as well as other symptoms.  It can also improve appearance if the excess skin is removed in the lower lids.  We use the technology of an Elman Radio Frequency to perform this procedure without the aid of a knife.
